Let's take a look at the Dashboard screens in Port Insight one by one.

① Select Terminal/Ship Type

You can view Port Insight information by terminal/ship type as well as port-wide.

By Terminal

At the top, click the Terminal button to select Terminal.

Vessel Type Standard

At the top, click the Ship button to select a ship type.
You can select and save different terminal and ship type criteria for each port.
Your last selected settings will be saved and retained when you log back in using the same browser.

② Map

Ships associated with a port are displayed on the map, and you can see real-time port congestion.

Zone

The grayed-out port areas are defined by based on AIS data

Ship Icon

Indicates the ship's operational status

Zoom in Map

The red pin marks the Berth

Zoom Out Map

Show all vessels by port: arriving, waiting, working and departing vessel

③ Aligning Vessel Type

You can view the vessels associated with a given port sorted by Ship Type, and you can also sort by DWT.
As mentioned in the previous section ①, when you select a specific terminal, you can sort and view information specific to that terminal.

④ Weather

Shows the temperature, precipitation, wind strength, and sunrise/sunset times for the harbor.
Weather information is available up to +7 days from the time of viewing.
For bulk items that are highly affected by weather during unloading, weather information can be useful.

⑤ Statistics Dashboard

Shows real-time vessel statistics by port, terminal, or vessel type.
(Average waiting time, average berthing time are averaged over the last 7 days).
Congestion
Relative congestion index to all ports
Predicted to Arrive
The number of ships headed to the port
Waiting
Number of ships currently waiting
Working
Number of vessels currently berthed
Average within Last
Statistics based on today's date

⑥ Port/Terminal Time Series Statistics Chart

Charts display vessel statistics by port, terminal, or vessel type by period.
Number of vessels (intended arrival, arrival, waiting, working, berthing, departure, etc.)
Average time (waiting, working, stopping, etc.)

⑦ Port of Call Statistics Chart

Charts DWT and vessel count statistics for the Previous & Next Calling Port based on the selected port or terminal.
