Weather Settings

The Weather Panel provides tropical cyclone information and detailed marine weather forecasts.

1. Cyclone (Tropical Cyclone / Typhoon)

Displays official cyclone warnings and forecast information published by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC).
Cyclone intensity can be identified through the color of each cyclone path.
Shows a list of currently active cyclones.
Displays the timestamp indicating when the cyclone information was received.

2. Weather Forecast

Current: Shows ocean current direction and speed.
Wind: Shows surface wind direction and wind speed.
Wave: Shows wave height and wave direction.
Swell: Shows swell height and swell direction.
Select a date on the time bar to view forecast data for that day.
Click the play button on the time bar to animate the forecast in chronological order. Note: While the animation is playing, zoom-level changes and other interactions are not available.
Weather forecasts are displayed using 1-degree data by default, 0.5-degree data at zoom levels 6–7, and 0.25-degree data at zoom level 8 or higher.
